  • Julie Cooper – Sedgemoor District Council discussed the councils Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • National Energy Action - Louise Evans discussed energy saving and switching suppliers.
  • Devon and Somerset Trading Standards – provided advice on scams etc.


Sedgemoor District Councils Benefit service were also available at lunchtime to answer any questions.

  • Somerset My Home My Life – The new countywide Community Equipment and Home Improvement Agency Service being provided by Aster Living and Millbrook Healthcare.
  • Advocacy Support for Vulernable Victims of Crime – Information from AVoice and Sari.

During lunch Sedgemoor District Council’s Benefits Service were available and EDF Energys Station Guide were present to discuss visitor tours at Hinkley B Power Station.

  • Paul Courtney - Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group  introducing the subject of “Care.Data”, and how Somerset might be one of the first areas in England  bringing together data from your GP and hospital records to improve patient care for the whole country.
  • Laura Fowler - Sedgemoor Digi-Link – a new project to help people get online
  • Emma Milton - Somerset County Council – how the council will be providing improved information and advice on social care with a new website.
  • Dean Eales – Disabled Go – information about their website providing access guides to over 125,000 places of interest across the UK.
  • Rhys Davies – Somerset Micro Enterprises Project – providing information on the project.

  • Stuart Martin and Stuart Houlet – Planning Officers from Sedgemoor District Council regarding plans to regenerate the Eastover area of Bridgwater.
